KEITH SWEAT

With his smooth, sultry voice and pop/R&B smash hits, Keith Sweat is celebrating nearly three decades in the music industry, has sold more than 25 million records, released 11 studio albums, delivered five straight #1 albums in a row and is widely recognized as one of the Godfathers of R&B.

Born in Harlem, New York, Sweat originally worked for the commodities market at the New York Stock Exchange before his smooth, sultry voice was discovered singing at a nightclub in 1987. In November of the same year he released his debut album ‘Make It Last Forever’, which sold more than 3 million copies and on the R&B charts “I Want Her” reached number 1. His next album “I’ll Give All My Love To You” reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and “Keep It Comin” debuted in the Top 20 on the album charts. Sweat released his fourth album “Get Up On It” in the summer of 1994 and followed with “Keith Sweat” in 1006, which gained quadruple platinum status

In Dress To Impress, Sweat’s 12th studio album, he continues his legacy and signature sound of feel-good, old-school R&B and soul music that everyone can enjoy, bringing back the romance and groove from yesterday, fusing it with the contemporary romantic feel of today. “Dress To Impress is about making a great first impression last forever. People always remember the first thing they see – the way you’re dressed and how you carry yourself,” says Keith Sweat. He adds, “This album is a collection of songs about how a man should treat his woman, how to woo and romance her, and make sure you put in the effort to treat that special person right, bringing more to the table than just what you see on the outside.
